Track Listing:The second release on DJ Robert Smith’s label is a feel good classic. The label boss teams up with veteran German Hip Hop artist and beat maker Schmiddlfinga on production duties to lay the A side track for the inimitable Slimkid3 (of the legendary group Pharcyde) on vocals. The result is a Hip Hop Soul track of timeless proportions and future stylistic leanings. Swimming in a warm bass line with accentuated organ stabs and guitar licks, the combination of DJ Robert Smith’s recognizable funky cuts and Slimkid3’s soulful crooning hits the spot perfectly between the boom and the bap.

On the flip, London based Canadian producer Jim Sharp takes the reigns on the remix duties. Sounding somewhere between a 9th Wonder and DJ Spinna production, the warm filtered bass interspersed with key stabs and sampled vocals make it feel like summer in the winter. DJ Robert Smith turns in a virtuoso performance on scratching duties, while Slimkid3 runs through a re-recorded version of the vocals alongside Neve Naive on backup vocals giving the remix a whole new
perspective.
